Adding Colour

Adding colour. For red, yellow and blue.

Kratom leaf powder shows natural green, sage, olive, khaki and earth tones. For a distinct yellow, red, blue, white or black, you need a separate pigment from an artist supplier. Here you will find straightforward examples and external sources.

How it works

What comes from kratom? What is added separately?

The following examples are separate materials from artist suppliers. They are not part of our kratom range.

01 · Kratom

Green, olive and earth tones

Kratom leaf powder brings natural, generally muted tones to a picture. The exact colour impression can vary slightly from one material to another.

02 · Artist pigments

Yellow, red, blue, white or black

For these colours, use a separate pigment from an artist supplier. It is not sold as kratom and is not included in our leaf sets.

How to proceed

Test separately first. Then mix a small amount.

First test the kratom and the additional pigment separately on the same paper. Let both tests dry. Only then mix a small amount so you can immediately see how the colour and structure change.

Avoid dust when handling loose pigments and follow the respective manufacturer's product and safety information.

Important

Additional pigments are separate products.

We provide examples and external sources here. These pigments and binders are not part of our kratom range, Studio Sets or Leaf Set Builder. The respective manufacturer's instructions apply to selection and use.
